My skin is crawling...Whether or not Kerry meant this remark as it came across or not, it is just uncalled for. Making our troops the subject of a joke, even if he means it as a "dig" at Bush is downright nasty. It is true that some people join the armed forces because they have few choices after high school (or perhaps they haven't even graduated high school) but that is certainly not the case for everyone and I take offense at his idiotic comment, joke or not.
